EnTwined! Using Branching Stories to Teach Decision-Making Skills
While planning assignments for her Measurement in Clinical Research course, instructor Chelsea Proulx stumbled upon Twine, a free, open-source technology platform that allows users to create interactive, nonlinear stories. Chelsea used Twine to create a set of choose-your-own-adventure-style online modules focused on survey design. In these modules, the learner, as the protagonist, moves through realistic scenarios in which s/he must apply course principles to make decisions and experience their consequences in a low-stakes, self-paced environment.
Below is Chelsea’s Twine.
